Best way to clean K&N air filters?

I am having a Dyno-Tune on Tues. and want to clean my K&N air filter.

Whats the best way to clean K&N air filters?

I picked up a couple of those kits at Autozone. They work well.

I use the dirtbike stuff thats bio-degradeable.I think it works much better and you can wash it down the sink.I forget the name but I have a bottle out in the shop.

Lol yes really! If you have a solvent tank handy you can use that as a first step, in place of the first application of brake cleaner, but I realize not many people do

There should be no other option then to clean it with a K&N Recharge Kit and by those directions. Period
