Bike insurance

When I was shopping for my busa, I had ins. with Progressive on my cruiser. When I asked about the premium on the busa they wanted $1800 a year! I'm 57 no tickets or accidents. The premium on my cruiser was $160 a year. I wasn't going to buy the busa, but State Farm insured it for $380 a year, full coverage, $500 deductable! Progressive can KMA!

State farm + one million....
Full coverage all the bells and whistles!
08 Busa $212 a year
06 Harley $158 a year
07 Gsxr 750 $136 a year
00 Busa $128 a year

08 Busa Liability only through Geico $212 a year. They wanted $2200 a year for full coverage with $1000 deductable. I would rather pay to rebuild the bike. Though after reading this I think all call State Farm for a quote on full coverage.

Just got back from State Farm, 06 Busa 100,300,300 500ded comes out to $1094 yr. Clean record, homeowner blah blah blah.

Just not going to see the rates some of you have while living here in Sin City

state farm 300.00 a year , full coverage .
as a side note . I had 2004 le stolen and they paid $10,850 on the claim . I had a chk in 2 weeks . my rates did not go up at all .

Full coverage here in Arizona is outrageous. I moved here from Florida 5 years ago. In Florida with Progressive it was $848.00 a year for the Busa. Same bike here, same company, still no tickets on record, $2200.00. Checked around and Progressive was cheapest. One company wanted $5000.00. I don't insure it except for public liability. Probably explains why I don't see many big bore bikes around here, in Phoenix, except at big gatherings or the dragstrip.

Again,
State Farm full coverage = $550 a year, 39yo female, 2 speeding tickets.

DID NOT have to have another policy

HAHAHA you should try the rates in Hawaii... I thnk we are number 2 across the country in accidents and 7 overall in stolen vehicles ...all that in a very small island....

My insurance rates all went down by more than half when I left Scottsdale and came to Indiana... Under $250 a year for full coverage on the Busa and liability on my van is under $230

the rates in this thread are about useless without coverage amounts included. How can you compare 2 different prices when one is way low(just above low legal limit) on coverage, and others are higher(100K plus, etc).

I have been to the rate quote websites and they are outrageous so far. I don't insure my bike as of now. You also get a discount for MSF rider classes. Don't forget that info also.

State farm full coverage is for KBB values, the only variable part of the quote is the deductible amount. I have $500 deductible.

State minimums on liability are 25/50/10

Progressive sucks! RIP OFF! state farm is pretty good I have geico and I pay 1000/year for theft etc not full cov. But I am 25 and live in south florida so.

Progressive wanted to charge me something like 10,000 a year. I have NO tickets.

they no longer offer the discount for MSF course...we were told this at the course itself and my agent confirmed this

I got a quote yesterday on a 2008 BUSA from USAA through Progressive for FULL coverage and they wanted $3,500 for 6-months with a $500 deductible. I called back and got them to cover me under my old policy (grandfather system pre-04) and now pay $208 for the same coverage with a $250 deductible. If I went with a $500 deductible it would have been $188 for 6-months....

I am married, 27, no tickets or accidents and currently live in Ohio. Just for reference my 01 (age-21) and 03 (age-23) BUSA's with USAA both cost $265 for 6-months same coverage years ago...

Progressive was the cheapest on my R1. They wanted over $1500 a year for my busa. I am now with allstate. They are around $900.00 a year, but less than that when you consider I drop collision for the winter. There is a foot and a half of snow on the ground now, so dropping collision saves me a few hundred a year. I tried talking to state farm, but they required having my cars insured with them before they would do a bike. Just shop around. I shop prices every year for everything, house, cars, bikes, snowmobile.
