Bike on the dyno

I agree with everyone else , numbers are way fishy. Ive got just over 200 and Ive got a 3 mm bore and all the rest plus an intake cam

For some reason 02 and down busas aren't quit as strong as 03's and up...only thing i can think of is the 03's and up have a 32 bit ecu.....i talked to the guy at vel tune when i ordered my pipe from him and asked if he heard of any busa's makeing like 180 with a pipe and pc3...he said he heard of some bikes making numbers like that...and the proof is on the dyno...ive watched many 02's and down not even close to my numbers....a guy at the shop i bring my bike to...04 busa has the hindle sidewinder pipe...yoshi cam...1397 big bore ..same level 3 head job that i have....also running vp U2 race gas..making a steady 220 to 225...saw him pull a 230 one night....but to get 200 hp out of my bike took alot of tuning and finding the right timeing advance.....i know the guy who was doing my bike tried a few different cam settings before we found the sweet spot...here is the link to the shop's web site..needs to be up dated http://thirdcoastspeed.com/
 
Hate to break the news to you but 02-up Busa's dyno the same as pre-02!  Only a few things changed between the years and they don't dyno any different.  I have actually seen several 99 Busa's dyno higher than even 04/05's!  Then again different dyno and different day so it means nothing....only a piece of paper!  

I don't care what you say.....if you want to prove it's power, take it to the track and show us some ET/MPH!

To answer your question Him......the cam mod was the first time i had the motor out ..cost me 400 bucks labor...and i think the new cam and adjustable spockets were around 3 or 400....dyno tuning included....the port and polish job...he sent the head off to Laser heads...took forever to get them back....i gave the shop a thousand so they could pay the guy for the head..and when i got my bike back this thursday i paid a little over 600...but that included stiffer clutch springs...a slave support..and new springs in my head....so around 2500 bucks i guess im into it with cam and heads...
 
I still think your dyno is about 10-15HP happy! Even your stock numbers are way high! The only way you are making 200RWHP is if you have the Carpenter package and even then I find it hard to believe!

Man if I could have gotten 169.7hp when she was stock. I would be part of the way there already.

well all i can say Got busa is....sorry....maybe you got your busa all tuned wrong or something...maybe we have better air down here in LA....but et numbers...well not going to get those from me...i don't drag race.... couldn't stand the way my bike rode with it lowered and straped down....i ride in the curves..
 
Did they give you a copy of your dyno? I've never heard of a place that didn't give you a copy.

03 with BDE Hindle exhaust and pc3 with airbox mod...cam mod...and newly ported and polished heads...can't remember what the cams are degree at.....stock hp numbers...169.7....after pipes and pc3...182.9...after cam mod 191.5...after port and polish....200.1 and compression is boosted up to around 12.0 to 12.5...sob pulls like raped ape...think im finally happy with my bike....
We should see 4 sheets total.
1. stock
2. pipes and pc3
3. cam mod
4. port and polish
If they did all 4 pulls they definately would have printed them or you would not remember the numbers.
And for that kind of money they are definately going to print my numbers for me.
 
no i quit asking for print outs after the pipe and pc3 mod....every one knows what your bike makes before you even tell anyone around here....but im sure its saved on the puter at the shop...ill get run down and post it up here....

Have a look at Wayneswa dyno sheet. Those are a tad high but about average for a *bone stock* Busa! Your 169 isn't even in the ball park unless you are running MR9 or another goofy juice for fuel.

P.S.....you bought the wrong bike if all you do is ride the curves!
 
his numbers sound about right....ive seen 600's only pull like 100 to 109 hps...ive seen v maxs pull 120's to 125's...the guys dyno isn't happy....03 and up make more power...no bs man....take it or leave

I am done with this post because to many things are just wrong and he hasn't shown any real proof!

1. Stock RWHP #'s are way to HIGH! 169....ha...right!
2. After pipes and pc3?  Pipes?  The BDE only has ONE!
3. What cam mod?  If you have web/meg/yosh, that requires TWO CAMS....not a Cam.  If you are talking about 1-intake cam you are looking at 4-6HP and that's it at the most!
4. Stock Compression is 11.0:1!  How did they get between 12.0 -to- 12.5?
5. Ported and polished heads?  Last I checked the Busa only had one.....HEAD!?!?!
6. You listed NO other mods so you are either lieing or just really have no clue and just post what the *squid* running the dyno told you!

Plain and simple.....things don't add up!  Do some research on Busa's and you will see that you are in the record books as far as peak stock Busa dyno numbers before and after with those mods!

dude...don't hate please....yeah the cam mod....are you the only one who doesn't know what that is....take another exhaust cam and put it on the intake side...if i have those backwards sorry....its a stock exhaust cam....gives you more lift...boosted the comp by putting a thinner base gasket on....
