Can someone tell me the advantage of the triple tree lift/stand over the fork lift/stand?

Do I really need one?

With a triple tree type stand you can pull the forks off the bike for servicing (spring changes, fluid, valving etc.). With a fork stand all it does is hold the front end up so you can service the wheel and brakes.

With the forklift stand you have less freedom when working with the front wheel.

I can not use my triple tree style stand on my Busa while the front is lowered.
