BMW Stop Ride

Bots, I looked into hard cases when I first got the bike, but the racks weren't available for the 2012+. I definitely would've gone that route if it had been an option.

I'm sure Charlie will come up with something impressive once this all blows over. :thumbsup:

No pressure...I'm eyeing a Connie at this point...time to simplify.

Flicka, there are plenty of people putting the '06-11 racks on the '12. The exhaust is the only issue, you need aftermarket pipes.

See if you can find a Yamaha dealer that will let you test ride the 2014 FJR1300ES... Less weight, less money & larger fuel cell just to name a few benefits. Better looking too, IMO. Then there's the FJRs reliability... built like a tank. Can't hurt to do a bit of shopping and comparison first, right?

Yep, I've seen it done since then. When I was looking for luggage, the new 14R had just come out and I couldn't get a straight answer on why the rack wouldn't fit. I still had my Ventura bags from the Busa, and getting the new parts to make that work wasn't an issue. So here we are... Either way, this bike is moving out. :beerchug:

I love ya to death LCB, but the Connie is waaaaaayyy better lookin' than the Feej.. :P

I know lots of folks who feel that way and I did indicate "IMO"... many say the same about the 'busa VS the ZX14 too... but the Connie is way too top-heavy and all that plastic, the gills - oops, I means grills.... UGH! Beauty starts on the inside and the FJR is a true beauty from the inside out. It performs and has the street, LD & touring cred to back it up. Most Connie owners get rid of their bikes for a different make - FJR owners buy more FJRs.

Luv ya too Bots but I just can't agree - plus, FJRs are much easier to line up for pics!

The 13 make over on the FJ is a big improvement, but the thing needs a 6th gear.

Many have said that - until they ride one... I really don't notice it and it doesn't affect the ride quality or mileage at all.

~~~you know you want one~~~all you need is a test ride~~~give in to the urge~~~you'll be so happy you did~~~
//end dream sequence//
That Beemer, now the one with the limping back legs :laugh: has been on my watch list for a long time. It's the kind of bike I can keep forever just to cruise and tour.
that was the plan...over on the BMW forums they have a poll 56% choosing to wait it out while 14% are opting for the buy back.
I have only had enough time to ride my Busa once this year (the reward was a speeding ticket), wish it was a new Beemer as parking a bike for a few months with a $2,500 reward will be right down my alley.
