Just a few let downs with this "new technology"....

Standing in line at the ticket counter with the other 999 people to get on this bird.

Standing in the gate area because there are no more seats left while you wait.

Boarding 2 hours before push-back so everyone can stow their carry-ons.

Waiting in baggage claim with the other 999 people trying to find "my bag".

I actually try to fly anything before flying on an (sc)air-bus.

Not sure that the 797 can be safely operated due to the need to evacuate 1000 people in a set time.  As for innovation, it's still sub-sonic, agreed it better that the A380, which to me is a backward step. I would prefer a 300 seat mach 3 SST, now that would be innovation

We saw one of those on the "Illinois/Iowa ride" back in september. It was flying right over us in I80.

MC, my friend was at the Evac test of the A380, got them all out in 80 seconds, only two broken legs
