How many people here use a tank bra. I like the idea of the coverage but I am afraid they will scratch or fade my paint. Can anyone here give me some help? I have the tankslapper clear cover but I was wondering if I would be better off with the bra?

Went from a cf bra to the tank-slapper 3m cover. Definately won't be using a bra on my busa again

ive got one in my garage if you want to try it out?didnt seem to scratch mine. just like the no bra look better.its a suzuki bra with the hayabusa symbol on it.say the price of shipping?

I had the clear one on my last busa and it turned yellowish after a while . It was a cheap one from cycle gear.

+1 for tank slapper. I have the 3-piece kit on mine and it rocks. Stays put, stays clear and really protects the paint where you need it to.

I think I saw that slapper on e-bay (3 piece) , just don't get a cheap one like I had.

got the tank slapper 3 piece on mine. Wouldnt have anything else. Also have it on my undertail for rock chips. Makes clean up a snap. Also got a square piece and put it on the lower front below the radiator and on the lower L&R main fairings for blow up dirt. Thats where all the rock chips happen.

I bought a gixxer bra but had to take it back. Says you are supposed to remove it, if it gets wet to dry the tank and bra ... I don't think so.
I use the clear 3 piece vinyl stickies.

I have the carbon look one from Suzuki, I love it, the fit is not as good as one say from second look, but there's a big difference in price.:)

Thanks, I appreciate the offer but I think I am going to go ahead and install the tank slapper.

I wonder if a good tyflon clear coat could also help protect the paint. I remember years ago I had a friend that coated his bike in that. To help prove it protects the paint he bent down and picked up a handful of little pebbles sand and dirt and thru it against his bike pretty hard, there were no scratches. I wonder where I can find some of that now, I think that would help

I have a second look bra that I like a lot. Haven't had any trouble with paint fading yet.....
Here's a pic

I have the Suzuki carbon look, and have no problems, like any bra's or covers keeping it clean is the secrete, do that and you will have no problems.

Pay for the shipping and you can have one of my Suzuki Bra's. If you like it, keep it....if not, keep it.

I've used a bra on all my bikes. But like others have said, if you keep it clean, no problems with paint fade, scratches, etc. I wanted to try the tankslapper, but someone said that with a black bike, you could see the film of the tankslapper. For those of you that use the tankslapper, is this true?
