Broke caliper off forks please help

You could put two rotors on and it can happen twice as bad.we all know that one rotor didn't cause this...Motorcycles are designed to be used a certain way and stoppies is not one of them..I have run one rotor for as long as the busa has been out and dragrace constantly..i have never had one problem stopping,brakes fading or irregular stopping issues...we all know tht the front forks in these bikes are medium grade and anything that is oushed to it's limits will break...don't blame this on the one rotor deal blame it on a guy using his motorcycle in a distraught manner and having a malfuction cause of it...

Just curious has anyone had this failure from the use of a lowering strap?I use one at the drag strip,but there must be alot of stress on that area with it strapped down especially if you turn the forks at all,I have always been a little nervous about the possibility of a break.

When this broke the bike was not strapped down. Just on there. Just to clarify that.

I must agree with the not to do stoppies....WE think what happened was it broke off then got jammed against the back of the forks. Thus bring the bike to a stop but once I released the brake the caliper feel off. So thank god the bike had already stopped and I did not eat the back of a car. *NOTE* I was only running one rotor........so this might of never happened if I had both on the bike.

Why do some think Suzuki engineered the brakes as a two rotor system, just for looks? I shake my head everytime I see someone do this type of mod.???

Put the other rotor/caliper back on and leave it. The Busa has two for a reason!

I have to agree,aint no way I'm going to one brake in front!

if your just coasting to a stop after a drag run.. no reason in the world for more than 1 caliper.. hell remove the rear one also.. it's just dead weight (well unless you need it anyway)

however.. if you actually ride the bike 2 rotors should be used.

Well you learned that a Busa is heavy and should not do stopies. Best bet is look for a fork bottom under our for sale section and then suzuki.org and then ebay. I know you will be able to find one.

Not only that, but the weight on the front end from doing stoppies will damage the forks.
