Broken header bolt, HELP

One of the bolts that holds the clamp down on the exhaust header is broken. I drilled in and tried to easy out but it doesn't want to budge and I'm scarred I may break off the easy out if I torque on it anymore. Any suggestions? I'm to the point where I will put it back together and just ride as is. Is it really that necessary? Thanks for any help. :please:

Throw some WD40 or any good lubricant let it sit for a couple of hours, it looks like you're pretty good in it....fix it or you might get the most anoying sound of the exhaust leaking...

Heat is your friend unless there is fuel nearby. I'd heat it up with a torch and then back it out.

Okay, I got the propane torch from my dad earlier today. Should I take the easy out out, flame the bolt, and then try the easy out again?

Heating just the bolt won't help. You need to heat the area around the threaded area. If you heat the bolt then the bolt will become tighter in the block.

Use a different kind of easy out. I have a set that look more like a drill bits that is sharp and works so much better.

A good penetrating oil (e.g. Liquid Wrench, Kroil, PB Blaster ...) followed by;
Tap tap tapping it with a hammer (vibration helps penetrant work in) followed by;
Repeat repeat repeat with a lot of patience and persistence.

Torch wrench helps too! :laugh:

Find a friend w a wire welder..have him place a nut over the hole and weld up through hole...I've had many a snapped bolt fixed this way
