Just a word of caution.........

On Fathers day while driving back from Kansas City, Ks. My brother and his wife were struck with a brick thrown at their automobile. It put a hole in the hood of his new Ford truck............
(They were on the turnpike when some kids hidden on the side of the road lobbed a brick at their windshield........)
Luckly, the brick struck the front of the vechicle and stuck in the hood! I've heard of people dropping bricks from overpasses/bridges, but never from a tree line along side a highway........
Next time your out cruising, keep a close eye on things you just never no........

This happened in Hawaii a few years ago, in a series of incidents until 1 night a women died! They rocks stopped after that but no one was ever caught as far as I know.

Twenty years ago, someone dropped part of a concrete block from an overpass on the interstate on my wife's car. After smashing thru the windshield, it landed in the seat beside her, less than 12 inches away. There are some people out there who need a huge can of "whoop ass".

I have heard of people droppig bowling balls from overpasses, my girlfriend works at a place where they prepare taxes for truck drivers and this happened to one of her clients. The ball landed on his passenger seat luckily. I don't think they caught the idiots.

This seems to happen a lot in bigger cities. It is almost always stupid kids with too much time, no home training, and a sureal view of life and death. Many people have died from this kind of thing. Unforunately, first, it is hard to catch them because you most often have to go a good distance to get off the expressway, double back and figure out where they are and who is who, and you will probably end up in a not so friendly neighborhood. Secondly, unless someone IS injured or dies, there aren't too many severe charges that will stick. And third, most often these are minors so penalties are weak anyway.

It is a sad and dangerous world out there. The only solution is teaching the children, and that is a long-term solution.

Here in belgium it happened a few years ago, but it were overpasses above trains. They dropped a 150kg (300lbs) block of concrete onto an oncoming train. Went straight through the roof and killed the driver. If they tipped it 2 seconds later they would have killed a kindergarden class on a field trip. The kids who were responsible were caught (5 of them, 11 and 12 year olds) but never prosecuted. They were instigated by one of the older brothers, a 17 year old. I honestly doubt the smaller kids could have tilted that block on their own.
Finally no-one was punished because the children came from a disfunctional familly and the judge didn't want to be considered "racist" ...

Go figure

Dood... I am all over the superhero thing... Except, my wife won't go for it... But, if enough of us did it... It could be a part time job. We could all have the same costume so that the public thinks we are the same guy. And, call ourselves busaman!

Busaman will suddenly show-up in Florida and rescue a family from robbers... Then he mysteriously appears in MD moments later and stops a carjacking... Shortly thereafter, he is in Canada smashing some would be rapist into the pavement...

BTW - the canadian incident revealed a little known fact about busaman, he has a kanji tattoo on his right bicep.

This whole story reminds me of a book...

"The Tomb" by: F. Paul Wilson (he also wrote "The Keep")

Excellent books!

In the book (the Tomb), the protagonist has a family member killed by cinderblock and drops everything to hang out on the bridge it happened at. He keeps going there every night for like three months. Finds the brick thrower and whoops his ass. Then, if I recall correctly, he dangles him by a rope from the bridge. An 18 wheeler comes by and let's just surmise that there won't be anymore brick incidents in these parts.
