Some of the guys up here are running a BT016 on the front and a BT021 on the rear. They both seem to wear out about the same time and they are getting good mileage. The 21 is a dual compound tire with apparently pretty dang good side grip. The 16 as we all know is a great performance tire with massive grip.
I can buy this combo for about 60% of what the Pilot Road's cost and the performance should be equally as good and maybe even better. I'll be puttin this combination on ScooterGirl's GSXR1000 when her OEM 15's are done.
One of our Race guys who owns the Spokane Track Record at the moment runs the 16 front 21 rear on his (GSXR1000) annual two week trip with friends and says it works stellar. Good for canyon carving and good mileage combined.
This combination should wear out near the same time.
