buddy busted my busa

Where in Ireland? My Ma's from Lisburn, got lot's a family there, and a cousin who rides.

I'd bet my next paycheck,..........the driver was probably texting or on a cell phone! DAMN CAGERS!!!!!!!!! :firing:

Man I hate that it happened but as an understanding I have to ask.... How are his testiculars ??? WOW that tank has a dent, I can only think of a couple of things that would have done that... You thought a couple broken arms hurt...

I am typing this with my legs crossed in potential empathy......

uggggggg

cap

Ya...... was my thought too...... hope for speedy recovery.:please:

The sight of the pictures make my stomach cringe with disgust. The cager must be punished to the full extend of the law plus $$.

Wish your buddy a speedy recovery.

The pics make me cringe but I am so glad to hear your friend is doing a lot better!! We all wish him best of luck in a speedy recovery!!!!

im amazed by the amounts of comments from all the busa brothers in the good old US of A....
its nice to know that some people will take the time out of their day to post about someone who we all have something in common with but is halfway across the world....thankyou...
just a couple of points for you regarding my friend and my busa!
1. yes he has balls of steel!
2. they are fine!
3.i dont know if they dented the road!
4.he has a fine and helpful wife!
5.car driver accepted all responsibility
6. i have decided its my buddys decision if he wants to do the HOT LEAD thing
6.car driver denied any wrong doing at first but came around at some stage!!!!(it was very obvious he f**cked up)
7.his insurance will pay out for the bike
8. it was actually a soccer dad (well spotted donor)
9. i have been talking to my friend on the phone and i think these posts are cheering him up a bit but are not really helping with the pain...
10.i would never loan my bikes to anyone but this guy is a vastly experienced motorcyclist whom i have travelled many thousands of miles around ireland and europe with,he is an ex racer and also a professional owner truck driver, trustworthy ,fast and careful...
also i wanted him to have a ride on my 08 as he owns a 02 busa and see what he thought!
thanks again everyone for your thoughts and prayers....

I comepletly understand about letting your close buddy ride the bike. I have had 3 or 4 friends with sport bikes that have all wrecked them, and i would never trust them on the busa. My closest friend also has a busa and i am completely comfortable with him riding my busa, i would even trust him with my wife on the back. Once again, hope your bud heals up quick! Broken bones and cast's suck. At least the other guys insurance will pick up everything, even though that's probably not the top priority at a time like this, ya know. Good luck to both of ya

another question i don't think anybody asked yet, was he wearing any gear? Helmet, gloves, jacket? I'm guessing he at least had a helmet on or this post might have completely turned the wrong way??

he was wearing a two piece textile suit with armour. a nearly new arai and alpinestar boots. the doctors said it saved him. his arai had front and back damage.....

thanks for yor concern,he is out of hospital and improving.bikes are replaceable, good friends are not!
two broken arms and a lot of dented pride!

I had this same thing happen to me (Bike was a 2004 1200S Bandit), up on the Dragons Tail, And I said the same thing. Prayers are sent and hope his recovery is 100%.

Ouch. Tell your buddy to get well soon. Thank God he's still here. Hope he's up and about soon. What were the details on the accident if you don't mind me asking?
Richie

Hope your friend gets well with a speedy recovery! Sorry that the busa is gone but it is replaceable, not your buddy! And yes the damage does make me go OUCH!

Sorry about your busa but VERY glad your friend is going to recover! Prayers for a quick and full recovery.

Kudos to him for having his gear on...that could have been so much worse if he didn't.

Im sorry about your friend and your bike. I hope he recovers quickly. Glad to hear that the ins company is going to take care of your bike.
