Build the 'Busa from the ground up!?

Lunchy

Had to buy a frame grommet from Honda East webiste, I got a pair for $3. When curiosity got to me, started looking at the costs of factory replacement parts. Just for curiosities sake (again), any of you crazy ****s went through and calculated the cost of building an entire bike from a website (or catalog), and if so (im sure no one has) what was the total price? Guesses? 25-$30,000?

Yeah local people hit me up all the time looking for a rolling
Chassis and stuff. I ask then what they are doing and they
Say they are building a busa because they think it wld be
Cheaper. Then I have to explain to them how it's really cheaper
To buy one that's ready due to the fact by the time you buy all the parts
It cost a good bit more to build one.

For sure, the sum of the parts is greater than the whole! Its like getting a bulk discount when you buy the parts at the same time assembled and ready

I would think 50,000 would be very conservative when you see parts such as the push/pins selling for 5.00 from the dealer.

Although list and cost prices are different.. I would imagine the COST of the parts to be around 14k? list to be 25?

Rough guess, but should there be one among us with nothing to do in the cold winter months.. hint hint!
