Busa @ Barber

The only way you are gonna lose 15 seconds next trip is going to be in the back of the Ambulance as it's tearing around the track to rush you to the emergency room....take this in SMALL BITES. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't wad up that pretty bike pushing your luck.

Let's work on 2:05 first, then 2:00...We spent all weekend fighting for TWO seconds.....It took me a year to get under two minutes.

Ha, I Know youve heard of "stretch goals" Keith. Just rememeber, I have seen you push it too; it is in our nature. Better on the track than the streets.

"Get off the bike!" LOL I was yelling the same thing at the screen...the main thing is...you got out there and DID it...good on you! How cool to be able to get track time at Barber:thumbsup:

Yeah I know. I watch and I start leaning and saying LEAN LEAN. You see your flaws and noobness for sure. Good stuff. And Keith being semi-pro anyway, the pressure was on. There times were better than many of the Advanced group. Those guys/gals were tearing it up.

You went out with some great riders and you can learn a lot from them. Just be patient like Keith said. You'll be impressed at what your bike is capable of once you get to know her better.

You should try to make it over to the Busa Bash in the spring.

I'll admit I've made progress over the last 3 years, but just goes to prove if I can, ANYONE can. Yes Trey you've seen me push it, and I crashed TWICE last year on the track. Just don't want you to be me. Don't let that camera (or me or any other rider) let you push yourself into something you aren't comfortable with yet.

It was really cool to have the audio commentary to go with the ride. Were you guys using BT Headsets? If so, I think that is a really awesome tool to be able to hear what you need to do in a turn when you're being followed by your instructor. One a' thesed days, I'm going to try it myself. Great job!! My buddies and I ride with BT's just to talk to each other and listen to tunes while we ride. It helps a lot.

The commentary was great; "slow down, slow DOWN, you're on a Busa, you're going to blow that turn, yep you blew it". This is the best training tool I have had. Can't wait fro the next trip. Going for 1:55. Thanks again Keith
1:55 on a Busa is really pushing it. In the fast sections, the Busa is really fast, but in the slower technical sections, the Busa is really slow. The 3rd lap on this vid is a 1:59. I eventually cut a couple of seconds by tightening up my lines. I have Ohlins front and rear that was set up by a professional suspension guy.

No headsets, no comms between riders; this is just me yelling in my helmet and the cam picking it up :)

No but the headsets would be a great idea. Nice video and great time by the way. What year is your Busa?

I drop in on this vid at 5:11 and do a 1:56 on the first lap with Skydivr following on the chase cam. ( Looks like a 5:11 to a 7:07 to me) The Busa is a handful on the track for sure.

With the move to the Gixxer this year, my best is a 1:46.1. (It is probably because Skydivr made us the cool Team Gixxer Stickers!)

Thanks Keith!

Trey, Charlie is FLYING on his Busa (faster than I think I could put mine around the track) at a 1:56...just to give you some perspective.

Charlie: You FINALLY ADMIT that STICKERS MAKE YOU FASTER :)

See you in 10 days! TEAM GIXXER RIDES AGAIN!

And it's on like Donkey Kong...

Ha I see that, and he is "getting off the bike" lol. Looked good Charlie. I will watch and try to follow your lines the next time I go.

I own a 2000. Pretty much stock except for exhaust and HID's. We use the BT Interphone. YOu can pick up a set for like $40 bucks or so on eBay.

How is your bike geared up ? It looks like you was just chillin out there ,the bike didn't look like it even broke a sweat ...lol... nice video Im at work leaning in my chair !
