Busa Feeling SLOWER?!?

The reason it feels slower is because the engine has been tuned up. If you have actually gotten the proper 600 mile service, you will have not only had oil changed, etc. but you will have also gotten the throttle bodies synchronized and you will have had the throttle position sensor adjusted and fast and slow idle adjusted.

All of these things being done will have your bike working much smoother. The off idle surge will be lessened. This makes the bikr feel slower. The fact is however, it is now much more controllable. If you're good, you should be able to actually open the throttle fully in first gear now.

If you really want a good improvement get a PCIIIr for your bike. You'll notice even more smoothness.

By the way, it is very normal to think the bike is getting slower as you get used to it.

It is probably that you are used to the power now, BUT it could be that the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is out of adjustment? Mine was[/QUOTE]

I ditto that Sierra I had same experience ;but as soon as I made this adjustment she started to bite again when shifting through the gearz. Check to see if the Throttle Position Sensor if off>>>>>>>> if so then adjust it to the correct position and she will be bite'n just like before.

Lumpy,  180lb/ft of torque?? Maybe you meant 100?  180 lb ft with 150ish hp on a stock bus is not possible.
Hey dark, I'm no dyno expert or nuthin', but I think runnin' it on the dyno in first gear would have some sort of multiplication effect on the torque readin'. I'm sure that someone will correct me if I'm wrong, though.

I thought my '03 Was slowing down.Turned out it was just me getting used to it.Sad,but true.Still the best seat on the planet.

Doing a dyno run in first gear will not give you a very good reading. In Tucson, AZ a stock Busa will put out 147 RWHP in 4th gear. Mine put out 149.9 RWHP in fourth gear w/ K&N oil and air filters.
