Busa Heat

(Shibumi @ Oct. 15 2006,07:59) Stock fan, no engine ice- ridden into 100+ and never went over the middle line. I was ready to die, but the beast was fine...

I have been real fortunate with the heat I'm from Lubbock tx area 100 in summer and it has just gotten above the halfway mark as far as heat from bike to rider you'll get alittle on your left leg because of the coolant tank but its not bad all bike will heat you up when stopped so its a wash but I have also heard about the 14 gettin the rider warmed up but everyone seems to really like them so heat must not be that big of an issue

Here in west central Florida - Bob is stock coolant, no muzzy, and he runs in the middle, just a tad below .. but as soon as he hits the mid mark and goes up... HOLY crap it feels like my right leg is melting into the frame!

I'm switching to Engine Ice before next summer. GJoker runs Engine Ice and has no problems. His fan hardly ever kicks on either. Where as mine kicks on after 5 mins of 10mph or less and/or not moving.

Mine was fine until I installed the full Yosh carbon/stainless system. I ran into overheating problems in slower <25 mph. I live in the Cotati and it is always has a sea breeze. I was in San Jose going to the GP in Monterey. It was about 95 out. I was already running a muzzy fan and water wetter. This posh it to where the overheat light was on. My ankles also get a little hot with the alpine star boot on any warm day.

Just my two cents

Central-West FL here as well, just as LadyHawk wrote - most times just under the middle bard, and goes over a bar just a little in traffic. Thats with full Yosh exhaust and few other things. Switching to Engine Ice and Muzzys before the summer anyways

I did some big rides this summer in 100+ heat and never had a problem. Now that it's getting cold in Seattle - and I ride year round - I'm hugging that motor with legs more than ever, the little bit of heat is nice
