as told to me...I have translated from the original "Broken Irish"
so here goes...
Not just people!!! dogs,cats,whatever.
DOGS!! Let me tell you something that happened with a dog one day when we we're on our way to a race meet.We were on our way up north. We have places that we stop at when ever we go up there, (meetin points) so anyway we all headed up north from Dave's house. We got to the frist stop all is ok, we're all there. We have a bit of a chat.We get to the next stop. No Dave. So we're thinkin were is he. We wait maybe 20min. Still no Dave! So we think we best go back to find him, just in case. We find dave on the side of the road with a DOG,that had been hit by a car,(CAR WAS GONE) dog left to die. Anyway we all think the dog is a gonner!!! Dave looks at me and says "No this ain't gonna happen". "F___ the race meet were goin to find a vet for the dog". He takes off his jacket and puts it around the dog and gets on the back of my bike. We get to the vet. Vet looks at the dog.Vet says "No, he's done for". "Best thing to do is put him down". Well Dave is not having any of that shid. He's thinkin' the poor dog is still suckin' air. There is still hope. So he tell's the vet to do what he can,and that he would pay the bill,and be back tomorrow to see how the little feller is doin. Dave went back the next day. Checked on the dog. Dog was in the vets for over a week, cost Dave over 500 euro, money he was saving to mod his Busa. Dave still has the dog. That happened over a year ago.
