busa sat for years

hey i just got an 06 busa and it didnt turn on or anything...i put a diff battery in and it lit up and cranks but doesnt turn over =/...then it died...im going to recharge it cause im thinking it didnt have enough for engine to turn..and change spark plugs and oil line tonight or 2morrow morning....also has fresh gas n oil...what else should i change to make sure next time itll turn over..=/....i dont usually work on my bikes my self but wanna be more hands on so any info is appreciated....

Might want to pull the plugs and make sure they're clean and dry or just replace them.

i attempted to but i bought the wrong freakn socket set lol..have to buy the deep ones tomorrow..will do though

Battery on a charger overnight, and put in new plugs. If that doesnt work check the fuel filter and fuel pump, and maybe run some Lucas injector cleaner with the new gas.

yeah im taking the battery to autozone..they charge it for free =)....will do my HW on the filter n pump...im a real noob lol..will throw in the injector cleaner though,thx bro

Spark plug socket that works on your plugs or good magnet. Hope you have a good extension or two laying around. Best of luck.

just came back from autozone..bought new plugs and an extention..the socket set i bought isnt deep enough though so have to return tomorrow to exchange them and get my battery back...i really hope thatll do it...thx!

The stock tool kit has a socket that is usable as long as you have patience. Give it a try. :bigsmile:

When ya turn the key on do ya hear the fuel pump prime? Kind of a whinning noise for 3 seconds or so.

nope...i turned it on a few times to listen for it but didnt hear it...my f4i made that noise but my zzr never made it so i wasnt sure if this one was suppose to do it or not....will order one tonight...do u recommend a site?

highly doubt it...when i got it the tank was dry as a bone...im hoping this is the last of it..battery,pump and oil line...do you know if that link site has oil lines?

finally got it on and running fellas!!!!! im in love!!!!....couldnt drive it cause im still waiting on the oil plate stuff but as soon as it does i will be out enjoying it!! lol

changed the oil and let it drain to make sure its not clogged with gunk.....put new antifreeze...put it in gear and turned it by hand first...hooked up the battery and WALA!!...i wanna change the clutch and brake fluid but i dont know where its located on the busa lol

clutch and fronts are on the handle bars, rear is under rear tail section (needs to be removed)..... careful not to spill...... will ruin a nice paint job
