Busa with Turbo uses less oil

since i have a Turbo , the engine hardly uses any oil.
not that i complain , i am happy - it is perfect.
less oil.

But who knows why the engine with Turbo uses lesser oil than before (without the turbo) ?

i like to know that anwser ....
is it the boost pressure ?

thanks.

Not that I want to ruin your happiness, but my opinion is that, due to the increased compression on the piston rings, small amounts of gas leak into the oil pan.
There is still the usual oil consumption, just that the oil is replaced by gas.

Same happens with the track bike which are kept at high rpm for long periods.

Just my opinion.

I think Maximus is right.... dont see any reason for the oil consumptions to be actually less

mine did the same thing! (but I replaced the pistons and sleaves at the same time....I think that had something to do with it

What you say maybe the case.

Gas in the oil..... hmmmm
That might be it .....

I have to change oil much quicker than ?
Yes ... i guess so.

Thanks.

It's not the case to really panic,
That's my thought

There are so many variables,like
What kind of oil have you bought?

Is it syntetic, is it mineral?
What is the oil changes interval?
Was the bike ridden hard,or was it casual?

If all the above questions have answers that you know,
You will decide what's to be done
And if your bike's oil consumption is high, or it is low.

I can't believe what winter does to people....

Thanks MAXIMUS_RO
I can answer all those questions :

Syntetic Castrol 10W-40 or so
Oil change interval set on 6000 km
Casual driven - playing around so to say.

I think :
Turbo Busa is double more fun.
The other side is double more care and maintanance.
That is the normal balance to this coin.

What is your oppinion to mine :
Gas in oil can go well together , to a certain % / degree.
Have to be carefull and change oil every 6000 km ers.
That is a must.

Thanks for your responds.
Take care.

Hey Windmill,

I would make the oil changes at around 4500 KM, even when syntetic is used.

Have fun and put the busa to the max
