BusaGlide or HarleyBusa?

i have had an idea in my head for a while now. i keep wondering about doing an engine swap on a busa and an electraglide.
why can't a Hayabusa engine be stuffed in a tourbike? why can't a harley engine be made to atleast look fast?
what got me thinking was a new tour bike costs $20k, i could buy a used geaserglide and a used busa for that price. being a Hayabusa owner/rider i love my engine, and with a tour bike, why add 500lb and drop 100hp? 200hp harley engines don't last, 200hp busa engines do. 200 is a good number:laugh:
i wonder if anyone has ever done it?

right now it's just an idea, but everything starts with nothing but an idea.:beerchug:

Do it!!! They put Busa motors in everything from sand rails to smart cars, no reason you cant fit on in a cruiser:thumbsup:

Yea I guess. But stick it a sv650 sf abs or gsx 650 and add the touring bags and have some fun.. Thats what I call a sleeper and tourer rapped up with all the trimmings

I guess you could put it into a Harley frame, but wouldn't it be just another "HardlyABusa"

Shocks, brakes, frame and swingarm setup, will never handle the power of a Busa motor.

i'd thought of that, im thinking it would take a lot of bracing and making a lot of custom parts.

not every harley is right hand drive, not that it would matter much.

still just an idea, im startin to think a good idea:whistle:

i spent a little time looking at the evo engine and tranny in my dyna, and im not shure how in the world i could shoehorn that powerplant into a busa frame??? and if i could get to fit, how it could hang there. it cant. can it?
the engineering is just starting to tickle my brain.
but your right. busa into harley, pretty do able. harley into busa :poke: way more difficult.

has anyone tried this before? i can't have had an original thought

I've seen custom choppers (even a few by Jesse James) with Busa motors...
Don't see why you couldn't do the same with starting out with a Harley frame & going from there.

It will be called electrafly and not electraglide. It's like your profile picture.....strapping a rocket onto a turtle.

i've always liked the roadglide fairing.
i wish i was good with photoshop so i could get an idea how it would fit together and how it would look.

 fastest turtle in the west <):)
