I'm looking at helmet cams, and that's the only difference between two cams from the same manufacturer.(BusaWhipped @ Jan. 04 2007,16:58)Are they fixed focus? 3.9 MM is a standard focal length for normal viewing. An 8MM focal length is a fair amount of zoom. Too much zoom for getting decent on-board video in my opinion. I don't know of any camcorders with fixed focal lengths any more, only remote cameras.(TheAtomicAss @ Jan. 04 2007,12:40) What would the difference be between 2 seemingly identical cameras, with the only difference being one has a 3.9mm lens and the other has an 8mm lens?
