For a street roll on, I would just buy a new sprocket in the rear (+5) and see how it does. Gearing can make a pretty significant change. LOTS of 1k riders are down one tooth on the front, but will tell you all day they are 100% stock. Get the right gearing and you will at least keep up. I can't emphasis gearing enough for the street...... almost no one runs stock front sprockets.......stealthy cheating!
