Got it! Tried another laptop and it worked! And boy how it worked its like a new bike with the restrictions taken off. Anyway thanks for all the help guys. Ill have to figure out whats up with mine.
If you have not yet done so, more stuff to play with (copied below from Frank of Powerhouse): remove all factory restrictions, modify timing, rev limit cuts and rpms, remove factory timing retard values in lower gears, manipulate STPs, control shift lights and/or nitrous setups,
Anyone here using Autotune in ecueditor? Any experience with the narrowband and the "closed loop" issue? Can't seem to find a straight answer as to whether it is a waste of time. Opinions?
Glad you got your issue narrowed down voodoo! Tuning and derestricting really wakes up this bike.
Ya its a pretty big difference. The problem is I got home and spent another 2 hours trying to get my laptop to work with the editor with no luck what so ever. I think Im going to have to bring a full PC out to the shop and try it with that because this laptop crap is getting old. Glad I could get this far though and didnt have to send it out to Greg for no reason.
Bwahahahaha! Got my lappy working! Ill call her lappy again instead of all the other names she's had the last couple of days. Just in case anyone else runs into this same problem I went to device manager/com ports/com (whatever is listed I only had one besides LPT)/properties/resources/unclick "use auto settings" and on the drop down menu "current configuration" choose a number other than the port number your trying I used 0003 then hit ok and plug in your usb. You will get the new hardware installing and that should be that. Hope this helps someone.
