It can be fixed.I have seen some badly damged aluminum heads that were repaired just fine.Cost effective maybe, maybe not.If you can find the right person to do it.I have seen some nice stock heads go cheap on ebay 2-300..Sucks you have all the work done and it blew on you.
Why does it seem like guys have trouble with valves? What is the main (usual) cause of these valve problems? Especially at 3500 rpm? I could see at 12500 maybe.

Be nice to find some Gen II heads for that price. Cheapest I've seen is $600-$650 and that's just every now and then. There's a couple out there now for $650 + shipping. Gen 1 heads you can pick up for half the price.
