I have lurked here for some months, then really became active after witnessing and experiencing the depth of knowledge and passion here. I really enjoy being a part of the org and honestly dont know how I got as far as I did without it.

That being said, I recently read a thread here that I found rife with offensive material. While offensive to me, my culture and where/how I grew up I realize it OBVIOUSLY wasnt offensive to all the others who posted there. :banghead:

I will not mention the thread or individuals because I do not wish to dignify it or them with more attention than is worth. Nor do I wish to publicly embarrass people or get involved in a major flame war.

I choose, however to point out here that we are all part of this org (I presume) because of our passion for motorcycles, particularly the Hayabusa. That passion transcends race, creed, politics, color, place of birth, your favorite music playlist and your culture. A member should not enter a thread and feel that they are in the "wrong place".

While I am not the most "PC" person out there (far from it), I am careful not to be offensive to peoples culture, music, lifestyle, etc. I am not so ignorant to think that my views are the entire worlds views and that those who look, act, eat, differently than I are lesser)

Last time I checked this is not the place to air offensive, racial or disparaging remarks regardless of how funny they may be to you and your cronies.

If for some reason I am wrong and in the wrong place, someone let me know . . .

I am sorry you were offended. Sometimes folks get carried away about things. It is an exception rather than the rule. One of the things that makes this community unique, is the fact we can differ in opinions and say so, with most of the time not attacking each other. I seriously hate that when it happens, but, we can debate an issue and at the end of the day, help each other in any way we can.

Well said.. I have noticed and thought the same... I chalked most of it up to general ignornace / lack of education and simple bigotry.. Then theres just that telephone / internet tough guy who likes to hear themselves speak, but if they saw me in person would not even aproach me , much less travel in the circles I do in my city.. What ever the case is for me its always about the bikes... NOT the BS..

if you don't think we get along, you haven't surfed the web much. :) try some other sites about motorcycles. this place is absolutely the NICEST, most respectful place I've seen on the internet in 15 years that is NOT a religious board.

I'd much prefer this place exactly how it is, where people have opinions and express them within reason, than some clean room, politically correct, sanitized, passionless unhuman platform.

I'm offended by nearly EVERY post that has to do with "NEWS" but it's okay. I just don't at them. I don't expect everyone else to tiptoe around on here because of me.

EVERYONE has opinions. Many are opposite of our own. Respectful toleration is something this place EXCELLS at.

yab....

i was in two zx14 forums for a year or so when i had my zx14 and you are talking about profanity, disrespect....etc..etc..
this is a great forum!

After 4 1/2+ years spent here, I have to say that it fits me okay. Even though it is a high quality environment, it is not perfect because no place is. Every once in a while, we get some people coming through here with nothing but hatred and bigotry but they are usually spotted quickly and eliminated or made to adjust. It seems that even though we claim to be good people, the worst will occasionally get through. Many times it is in the form of thinly veiled fear induced negative racial commentary.

I'm on here even though I don't like Hayabusas but I've been able to control my hatred...LMAO...

Reeeely most of the debates are real interesting but if I see one subject like "We Hate GSXR1000s especially the red ones" then I skip it, selective posting and reading...

However seriously a great forum and not much bashing like in other sites...

Point to Ponder -

"If everyones opinion and likes and dislikes were exactly the same - everyone would ride a Hayabusa and everyones bike would be the Orange and Black, K8, (we all know this is the fastest ). Is it not okay for different people from different back grounds to have different thoughts and express them in different ways"?

Not saying or insinuating that anybodies thoughts or opinions are right or wrong, just that it is okay to disagree on different topics. That is what makes the world go around?

If this thought/post is offensive I am sorry, but how much of it is the truth or a lie.

yea they fight with purses here where the other sites use guns and knives...

if you find a post that offends on those grounds, report it, they usually get taken down if someone really objects.. .oRg is easily one of the most civil bike sites I have ever seen...

You must be talking about "tdcfrank" the thief in the other thread called "scum of the .org" that ripped off another member. That was just an isolated incident, things such as that don't happen much here.
For the most part everyone gets along in this forum great. This is the best hayabusa forum on the web for sure!!
you can't let one bad apple spoil the bushel.:beerchug:

I agree, very well said.

I know I've stirred the pot a time or two with peoples because I have different opinions (paired with a sad sense of humor!) on certain topics and to some that's tantamount to being blasphemous. :peace:

I, for one, am continually shocked that the admins would continue to allow members of this board to perpetuate the insane fallacy that some members continue to express about black/orange being the fastest color when we all know deep in our hearts that

BLUE is the fastest color! :moon:
