Also, the strap across the tank didn't touch anything on my Gen II.I used these when I bought my Busa in February. They worked great for the 600+ mile trip home. I was also concerned about the bar ends, so I wrapped a washcloth around them and had no problems. The cups left some impression marks on the grips, but they worked out in a day or so.
I got a $20 gift certificate from my local dealer as an anniversary present on a bike I bought there. Decided to order a Canyon Dancer 2 from them but didnt know the size so I emailed Canyon Dancer direct and got an answer. They also suggested using a towel over the grips if you have soft grips.
Now that is funny.... GM said the same thing right before we had to warranty several hundred thousand transmissions with plastic bushings that ate up cast iron side gears...Come on now, plastic doesn't mar steel bar ends.

I prefer not to put anything on my handlebars.. a good wheel chock just seems a better bet.. (I have the HF $30 one and 2 straps off the passenger peg mounts)
Thousands and thousands of miles never an issue.... a lot of guys tow like this... If I have a second set of straps I will add a backup but never had any issues..B - Is that all you do to strap your bike down? I use the Condor Chocks but I strap the bars and pegs, out of paranoia i guess.

That is the $30 harbor freight unit.. I bought 3 of them and gave one to 99busa and another two serve on a trailer and one on my bike hoist..
I think I will pick one up. I have 2 Condor chocks but I want a 3rd so I can load a single bike without moving the mounts around.
what was the answer?
