car oil vs. moto oil

Hey guys -- the fellow that wrote about Amsoil is correct. Go check out the Amsoil website and you can link into some extensive testing material. Amsoil is GREAT oil. Investigate it for yourselves. Their filters rock too, in that they filter better than any others on the market plus the allow more flow. Great oil and a good oil flow -- that's what I'm talking about.

This site is great! I just went to the link to donate (help out the cause and all) and found that no more $$$ is needed. How cool is that! Honest folks here. I like it!

Thanks Hayabusa.org.........

+1,Amsoil is some great stuff.I used to work at a machine shop where we built a number of SB2 Chevy's for dirt late models,These motors are 430ci,900HP N/A,spinning at 9k+ a hundred laps at a time,They tend to eat main bearings fairly quicky due to crank deflection at higher revs. But we really saw a noticable difference going from mobile 1 to the Amsoil 20w50,We were just testing for general purpose and really didnt expect to see any difference just changing the brand of oil, both were same weight and full synthetic and no other changes were made but we got almost twice as many races out of the bearings before any wear was indicated. It made me a believer and I have used it in all my bikes and race cars since. It's not cheap but it's good extra insurance.

I used to be an amsoil dealer and that was the only time I used their oil. It's a good oil but I'm just as happy with Mobil. I'm no longer a dealer so I can say this and not have any bias.

I think the key to alot of this is that it comes down to how often you change your oil AND filter... I haven't had any problems with any of the full synth oils I've used in bike and/or car engines.
