While I am sad for Caylee and her family I am glad that our justice system prevailed. I will celebrate my rights as an American again for the second day in a row knowing that the prosecution didnt convict her on the bs evidence they had.
They proved she was a *****

They did not prove that she was a murderer.
I applaud the 12 people on the jury for not giving into what feels like murder and going with just the facts presented.

I haven't followed the trial at all but it surely seemed as if she was ultimately responsible for her daughters death. Or at the very least a really horrible person and a worse parent.
But we live in a country that would rather set known and suspected killers free (for lack of evidence) than incarcerate even one innocent person. Not that it works for everybody. I think race and wealth have a lot to do with how well a trial goes for the defendant. That is the strength and weakness of our system.
I think that there is a special place in hell for people that do not admit to their guilt and accept their due punishment as long as that punishment is fair and in line with their crime.
If she was responsible whether intentionally or unintentionally I hope she pays for the rest of her life.
I hope that little girl is in a better place.

That is true. Sad but true. No real evidence to prove her as the one who did it.
Many believe she did but again it was not enough to convict and yes I'm glad the jury could see the facts and not rule on emotion.
Ok so now what? According to the jury she didnt do it so does that mean the real murderer is still out there? Are they going to begin looking for the killer again?

How can they? She was found not guilty. They can't try her again for the same crimes.

Right! The cops can't just say "oh well" they will keep trying to gather evidence.

You know Cqt perspectively that is a very good question. In the three years this has been going on how many kids have been killed under strange circumstances? I always wonder what it is about certain cases that bring them to Natl attn? This case is certainly no different than the countless other cases who's name of the child we do not know.
