Casey Anthony, NOT GUILTY

She will have no life sure she will get some money out of the deal but she will blow it. I bet in 5-10 years we all open the paper one morning to see where she OD's or does something stupid that lands her in prison. Justice will be served sometimes it's just not man's place to do it.

Her day of judgement will come. It may not be today, or even tomorrow, but someday.

I hope there is a special place in hell for people that kill children. Sorry about language.

We should have moved the trial to Afghanistan.
The Taliban for sure would have found her guilty and treated her accordingly.

Kharma will catch up to her soon enough.

 all i can say is wow but didnt scott pettson get jail time for lack of so call real evidence? they let her off

I saw juror #3 on the abc interview. She was saying there was no evidence, no murder weapon, no this no that. And I kinda started to understand her pov. Then I saw Marcia Clark on Anderson Cooper. She was prosecutor in oj case. She said this is not correct and she herself had numerous murder cases where a body was not found as well there were no weapons or murder item discovered. The juries there gave her convictions. Ms Clark stated that there need not be all these things answered and the juror was just looking for a reason to vote not guilty. Clark stated that it is impossible to give the answer to every question one could have in their mind and at some point the juror needs to be able to put the pieces together and come up with the obvious. Her words. So after hearing this I go back to thinking she did it and the jurors just wanted glamour. A guilty conviction gains no fame because it carries no controversy well at least not as much as we have now with their not guilty verdict. Now each and every one can sell their side of events.

The 'system' is Effin with Casey now though as they've pushed back her release date

No Blanca, they would not have treated her accordingly. Men torturing, raping and then stoning her to death is not, regardless of your stance on capital punishment, or how heinous her crime, an acceptable form of punishment.

cheers

If she had 1 Public Defender she would be looking at life in Prison or the Death Penalty. Just like life............The system is not fair. It's a 50/50 Chance when there is a Jury involved. She took her chances and Won..............Reality-NOBODY WINS !!!!!!!!! There is a Dead little Girl out there and God will be the Final Judge !!

What Ms Clark forgot to mention is that most convictions were rarely based on evidence but on emotion or perception. She also forgot to mention that because of shows like CSI and Cold Case, there is a growing trend of not guilty verdicts due to lack of strong forensic evidence. Because those shows show forensics solving almost impossible cases, there is a perception that crime labs can answer all of the questions and should leave reasonable doubt.

Sorry the little girl died, but the prosecution’s case was built on speculation and most people’s perception of guilt was based on her inconsistent story telling. Regardless of how we feel about what she did, the prosecution never presented any evidence of the child being killed, or any pre-meditation by Casey.

This is what happens when people are convicted based on feelings: Scottsboro_Boys

Honestly, in the criminal law, I think we need a system with standards for District Attorneys to guide them in deciding what charges to bring (and penalties for overcharging cases), standards for judges to initially decide if you have met a minimum burden of proof, and professional jurors who understand particular types of cases and what the law requires. Too much of the outcome depends on emotion, the luck of the draw in picking the correct jury (when, in fact, it should be equal for everyone), how much money you have to spend on your defense (or whether someone is willing to defend you based upon the chance of popularity).
