+1 on this one not to mention the courts will already know he was trying to steal your ride. but Dave-make sure you get your story straight now-go write down EVERYTHING you remember in detail (and dont forget the part where he attacked you and you DEFENDED yourself
) so when this gets to court (cuz they'll drag it out, believe me) you'll be able to make sure you dont get tripped up by their def. atty.-and they WILL try to f**k with your story.
BTW-Im totally for this type of treatment for thieves...me personally-I woulda broke a leg or something just so the SOB couldnt run from the next guy he steals s**t from

I was thinking the same thing, that goes to show what kind of protection you would have received if you decided to call them and wait.
