Cause im stupid and obsessed....

....ah yes.....single.......I've forgotten the joys of "singlehood" as I've been married so long I'm now "Institutionalized" like a prisoner serving a life sentence.......

The only saving grace is I'm not a "soy-boy" beta male......and my wife is well aware of this fact and respects that.......

However, I digress...if there's something I want, I go get it....(other than other women that is....she draws the line somewhere).
Outside of the forum I don't see myself telling people about my bike except close friends. Attention comes at a price. And honestly the most expensive things about this bike wonted even be noticeable. What girls are attracted to is when you speak passionately about something. Just not too much because they don't really care about what the topic is just your enthusiasm and competency.

Yeah, my wife is pretty good too, and doesnt complain about me spending money on bike parts.
She didn't like how the Goldwing rode stock either, was really suprised when I told her it would cost me over $3k in parts to fix, but didn't complain, and after she rode it, she was happy.
My wife doesn't complain anymore.....I divorced her ass! Can't hear poop from my house now

One of the benefits to being single is I don't have to explain anything to anyone :-)
I wonder how many Busa owners are single? I always found relationships a bit inhibiting as far a riding goes.
"Oh your off by yourself today? That's fine, it's not like we're married... ( the subtle guilt trip)

I think the best part though is not having an accountant sleeping beside you, someone that audits your purchases so to speak :D
Case in point, yesterday, on a "whim" I bought another gen-II. I'd had a conversation with my son a few days earlier and came to the conclusion that I best not leave him too much money when I checkout in the future. he's not that good with money, nor is his wife.

Then after riding around on my Maroon 2012 for a couple of days I thought I'd see what was selling and there was a 2018 with the ABS and a beautiful color scheme. The test ride was fine, just the same as the the ride down to the bike shop in fact. I was in two minds but thought what the hell, they aren't gonna get any cheaper and the money is safer in the garage than in the bank I recon. I put a deposit on it and all going well will pick it up Monday. A Chrissy present for me I guess :)

No sense in leaving money to someone who is going to squander it, better spent and enjoyed on yourself. Congrats on the new to you Busa.

Funny thing is you still had a conversation with someone! My only conversations are with myself! Guess how those go? :D
LOL. I have a neighbor I talk intimately with, he's a rider too, though married with young kids and both his bikes have been mothballed for some years. I was talking to him about it the day before, showed him a pic and mentioned I was off to the shop the next day for a look. Just a look I said! Naturally he said nothing negative like "You got 4 already, why are you looking at another? Best mate he is :D

Thanks BB. It's the next best thing to the bumble bee color scheme, but we never got them down here :(
Neighbor says it's a bit of a show pony and I'll be washing it all the time, well maybe, but just it's feet and underbelly :D

It's got the new cans AND a brand new set of Metzeler Sportec tires, like they still have the wax on them! They're the perfect tires for the style of riding I do, the Maroon busa I got a year or so ago still has the 'Road' tire on the back, damn thing just won't wear out! The shop fitted these tires when they prepped the bike for sale, sort of tells you what they think the average aussie rider will be doing with the bike :)

Are these more on the softer side?

Are these more on the softer side?

Softer and stickier yes, but they have greater curvature and that allows you to lean the bike more over more, take a given corner faster if you want. To me the busa wants to lean over, it is a Sport Touring bike after all. But with road tires I quickly find myself right at the edge, no chicken strip. I like some strip, it tells me I have extra to play with if I get into trouble. If i wasn't going up into the mountain twisties it wouldn't be an issue.

It's explained here
