well I decided to make my own plate relocator.

I saw the one on the board that was on ebay, already sold, so I decided to make it myself.

Not finisehd with it yet, have to paint it still, but couldnt wait to post pics of it.

Cost me about $7.00 for the steel

Seventh and last for now.

I took it back off and am going to paint it in the morning. I dont have any chrome on my bke, it is all orange and black chrome. So I figured I will paint the chain gaurd / relocator gloss black.

I will post pics of it tomorrow after I finish it and have the plate on it.

figure for $7.00, I can live with it

Thanks Smoke_dog..

I wanted a plate relocator but for one didnt have the money to spend on one, and also there were very few that I liked.

Saw one prety much just like the one I made and it was on ebay for like $62.00, which I idnt think was a bad price, but the more I looked at it the more I thought Hmmm I bet I could make one of those....

So I did lol..

Took me two days a lot of the time was waiting for the primer to dry, then two coats og gloss black, then one coat of clear acrylic..

After I finished it today, I started work on my video camera mount for the gas tank. Almost finished with it..I will post pics of it in a few days.

I really got to get a 4 into one system.. I like the way your bike looks..

Hmm wonder if I could ma..... naw....

I would have to think about it and see if I could figure out a way to stream line how I made it.

PM me to what you think it might be worth. Not saying I am going to make any and sell them. But if it is worth my while I always consider all options.

Not trying to hit you up for money or anything, just curious as to what you think I might be able to sell them for.

The reason I decide to make my own was some of the ones I saw mounted to the attachment where the exhaust can goes, well you can only do that if you only have one can. Plus I wanted to the plate to be hidden as much as possible and still legal

And then others I saw were pretty sweet, but they attached to the rear axel, didn't feel like making something that would require me to mess with the back rim and tire.

And when ever I do a mod on anything, I like to try and use existing bolt patterns or brackets, like this chain guard I made, it mounts to the frame where the stock chain guard mounts to, and it does not weigh much more than the stock one.

So it should satisfy Mikey D's requirements for Sprung and Unsprung weight lol

Yo Mikey!!! Mr. Metal shop dude!!! Give me you critical assessment!!!

Oh yeah, and if I did sell them I would want to wait for a month or so of me riding wth it to make sure there were not any problems with it that were unforseen..

you could make that fairly easy if you had a bandsaw and a vice to bend straight lines. Once you get your pattern down and have measurements, you could make those like clockwork.
