Been using Maxima synthetic "Chain Guard" from the dealership, last time I waited THREE DAYS for it to dry, and when I stopped after half of my ride I had lube slung around the TREAD perimeter of my tire!!

Not exactly confidence-inspiring for laying the bike over in a turn...

So what does everyone use?

Post it up, and does it sling off or stay put? Do you wipe off excess after lubing it, or does it dry by itself? Testimonials for chain life using one?

Switched from Maxima to Silkolene - great stuff! Goes on clear and unless you put it on really heavy, it doesn't sling off!

I use this stuff with zero fling and I hose the chain down with it, doesn't attract dirt and debris.

Suzuki service manual says to use a heavy motor oil to lubricate the drive chain and actually warns against using commerciallly sold drive chain oils to avoid o-ring damage.  After cleaning with kerosene I apply Castrol GTX 20-50 with a rag and get little to no fling off.

You're a butt...just saying...

A service mgr. at a local dealer whose been working on bikes for 40 years said Honda Chain Lube is the best he's used. I use the Bel-Ray lube now but will try this next.

We have to lube the chain?

j/k Chain Wax on a warm chain and every now and then when I get back from a ride. I put it on the stand and spray it down while it is still warm. Dried for the next ride.

I've been using the regular Bel-Ray chain lube and it works great (18,000 mi. on the ZRX and almost no stretch at all) but is a MESS.
I need to try something different too.

Well, Don gave me his partial can of the wax to try out, and it seems to be great for staying on! Still a waxy feel to it after a 100 mile ride and as a bonus the chain still looks clean!!

Anyone know if the wax does as good a job lubricating as the other? That is, of course, the main point to it...
