As long as the justice system in that country isn't sloppy and biased as ours is, I have no problem with it. Do it publicly and swiftly and it provides an effective deterrent. That's the way it works over there.
Amnesty International is a good group with its heart in the right place, but they are off base on this.
And for all you folks that think our justice system is close enough to perfect that we should institute something like this, wake the hell up. Look how many convicted criminals have been released in the last ten years due to DNA evidence proving it impossible for them to have committed the crime of which they were convicted. How many truly innocent people do you think have been put to death in this country? Until skin color and economic status are not impediments within the system, we should be ashamed of ourselves for even considering the death penalty.

here we build more and more prisons and I don't have any stats at hand but it doesn't appear to be working.
oh, here is a stat. over 70 percent of prisoners in the usa are men. over 70 percent of the people that see a head doc are women. perhaps the 2 have no correlation.
i believe our bailbonds system is awful, our local jail downtown is awful, and issues such as these should be addressed

Nah... The smart ones are tokin up in hiding within the USA.
Here in most large Canadian cities you can fire up while walkin down the street and hardly get a look anymore.
They do this big lite-up in Vancouver BC once a year. All the pot-heads get together downtown on some corner and all lite up. No arrests.
Dope is for dopes. Unless its for medical needs or research.

Every where has child prostitution. Its happening under yer nose. You dont have to go to another country....just watch dateline. Or hit yer local 7-11 at 11 PM.
