Clutch cover mod..

Thanks, I will prob put the oil back in this weekend. I will post a pic and a video when I have a chance. Hopefully everything holds up and I have no leaks
 
I never posted mine. Chrome case with red l.e.d lights, powder coated red ring with brass bolts. It really came out nice! I wasn't gonna post until I put her all back together but the painter is a little behind schedule.  Not the best picture but will have to do for now.

I have a question for the guys running the l.e.d's. What kind of toggle switch are you using and where are you mounting the switch?

Mine will be hooked into micro switches with led indicators all which can be bought at Radio Shack.. Mine will be separate from the under lighting.. Reason being the under lighting illegal, clutch lighting is legal.. View attachment 1293113

Kind of the same as I did with my head light and fan switches.. all switches and led indicators will match.. View attachment 1293114

Here's a pic.. of the fan and head lamp switches.. all will change as I'm updateing the whole bike this winter..

just got mine monday, going to pick up a new gasket now. maybe ill install these clutches finally while im at it.

gettin one soon anyone wanna make me a template to cut the fairing lol.. im chicken **** lol
 
Use the piece thats on the stock clutch cover . It comes off with the 3 allenhead screws . And yes , its scarey!
 
Hang your fairing on and bolt it in place at the top. Now make a cardboard round template a little smaller than the diameter of the clutch cover. Now you want to tape the cardboard template on the inside of the fairing while you hold it centered to the clutch cover. After you tape it on the inside good, pull the fairing back off and use a magic marker to trace around the outside of the cardboard template. Pull the template off and cut on the line. After removing most of the material, hang the fairing back on like you did and grind/ sandpaper the rest. Finish with some nice door edge moulding.... simple! View attachment 1340825
