Remove the clutch lever and apply some lube to the brass pivot as well as the end of the nipple that sticks out of the reservoir.

Just lubed that as well...the little boot is cracked but no fluid loss

Geez .......Still having the same problem.....still have to force the lever forward. took sprocket cover off.....removed piston thats connected to spring(noticed a little fluid around piston, not much but its there)...cleaned it all up....loosened bleeder to push piston back in.....rod is sticking to piston side when removing cover from case....reversed rod and the same thing....cleaned everything, fastened back onto case...bled clutch....pulled lever, can hear clicking of the rod against either clutch piston or inside engine....still having to force lever forward (1/8")to disengage clutch....Bike has 15000 miles...is it wore out?...lol

With or without fluid in the system the clutch lever should spring all the way out! Pull lever off and check for binding, maybe the bolt was over tightened and is squeezing the lever at its pivot a lil too firmly!

I haven't put the nut on the bottom of the screw/bolt that holds the lever on yet. The boot on the workings or mechanism behind the lever is cracked, just wondering if I should concentrate here and maybe replace the reservoir and/ or internals.

Try squirting a little WD40 where the rod goes into the clutch master...then work the lever a few times.

Pull lever off and push the tip of the plunger in, it should pop out all the way freely. If it dont then pull the pump apart and clean it with fresh dot 4 fluid. You may have gotten some dirt stuck in it! Also make sure the lever has a free range of motion with out any tight spots!

The clutch lever might be sticking or the plunger in the master could be bad too

I'm thinking the issue is inside the clutch resevoir. I keep looking at that spring and the other components. Something is binding in that area or the lever itself, to include the bushing.

Get off me Ba
