Is it necessary to add the slave support when doing this mod?

The OEM slave support often breaks without the addition of heavier clutch springs.
It just seems to be a weak part.
I did the slave support upgrade just to be sure.
If it cracks or breaks, you're walking.

Yes it is the same and you would benefit from this mod.

Given my budget , I did the Carpenter Racing Clutch Mod. The ring and springs.

It seems to work great. Really smooth launches not possible with the stock set-up.
