Clutch replacement

I have an 02 Busa and I was wondering how do you tell when it is time for a new clutch. My bike runs great but I was just curious.

If the tach says 8500 RPMs and the speedo says 45MPH you need a clutch!

when you snap it open if the revs climb quickly and then settle down for the bike to really start accelerating fast then it may be time.

when i get on it, the revs climb, but the speedo climbs too(really quickly in fact). i just upgraded from an r1 and the power difference is amazing. is there any chance that i'm spinning the tire? the only mods that i can see is a full akrapovic (sp?) system. thanks
