Clutch Slipping

When we roll on in sixth gear from about 70 mph as soon as I get to full throttle the engine reves straight up to 9000 rpm then the clutch grabs and the rpm drop back down then she starts building more speed.
Question: are new fiber plates what I need to replace or do I also need to repalce the metal plates in the clutch. What about the clutch springs do those go bad also.
Please advise.

in the least the fibers will need to be replaced. I would also check the disks as well though. Make sure they're not to burnt or warped.

from my experience buy a whole clutch kit. get fibers, steels. I have reused steels but I media blasted them after I checked to see if they are warped. Be sure you soak your fibers before you install them. Some people call me anal but I drop the pan and clean the pickup screen after I use up a clutch but I abuse my bike. On the springs that is preference. I usually use a heavier spring on my street bike to insure the grab.
