Clutches

Can someone tell the the correct procedure to follow for replacing clutches. Ie..... let clutches sit in oil overnight, take emery cloth and go over the steel plates?

how come your changing it?

just curious cuz I know alot of guys that abuse the #### out of the oem one and they are still goin' strong..

Cache probably knows about this too..

didnt' you have a ton of 1/4 passes... FAST passes on the oem clutch cache-ious clay?

I have an 03 limited busa but the problem is not with it. I have a V30 Magna also and it's starting to slip a little. just have never done clutches before and wanted to do it right.

leave your bike on the sidestand
take off fairing
take off side cover
take the 5 bolts out of the pressure plate.
take fibers and steels out.
soak fibers with new oil.
put new fibers and steels back in the same way the old came out.
put pressure plate back on with bolts
put cover and fairings back on.
