Coal Miners trapped in WV

The Associated Press reports explosion in Upshur County, West Virginia, coal mine traps 13 miners, county emergency official says.

Say a prayer for these guys, this can't be good.

Dam, that is not good. It's trippy enough being way below the surface when you KNOW you can get back out.....I've had a few rocks come down from the ceiling while underground...but an explosion?

true.. but the one out of the thirteen was at the beginning of the line. (different location) and is believed to have died from the blast? maybe. not sure now.

any rate even one is too many.

12 gone, 1 in critical. Miners make good money, but it's very dangerous work. A terrible tragedy, but watch the media try to play the blame game. The mine was had several violations over the last year, but none serious enough for the Federal man to shut them down. This was a terrible accident, nothing more, but watch what the media does now....
