Most important is the time to ride them..

I began dreaming about owning a nice collection of bikes after I saw a car show the other night. The car show featured an antique car restoration company in CT which specialized in rare imported sports cars. One segment of the show had a collector on it which had a large, museum type garage which had about 20 rare Porsche, Ferrari and other exotic cars. The environmentally controlled garage/museum/showroom was as incredible as the collection of cars. I doubt the owner actually did any of the work on the cars and probably rarely drove them. While watching the show I pictured how many most excellent bikes would fit in half of that space.

If you had the time, money and space to dedicate to building a collection of bikes, what bikes would you choose? Here is my wish list:
1 Gen 2 Busa
2. Gen 1 Busa
3. late model ZX-11
4. ZX-14
5. Suzuki TL1000 or a Honda RC51
6. eighties model GSXR 750 or 1100
7. Honda Valkerie for two up touring
8. late model Suzuki or Kawasaki drag bike
9. seventies model Honda 750
10. Kawasaki Z1 900

Sadly I had three off that list and sold them, wish I had kept them!

Okay, some of my "gotta haves/always wanted" are in the garage already:

1. Vespa GTS250
2. Gen 1 Busa (just a passenger on this one, but I love it)
3. BMW K1200GT - can't wait to take our first kinda long ride this weekend; again just a passenger, but it's going to be great for road trips.

Those I want some day when I have more than 2 days/week to ride and a bigger garage....

1. 1970's or older Moto Guzzi. This one is at the local dealership. 1973 Moto Guzzi Eldarado Police Model, Plano TX - 98552115 - Cycletrader.com
