Very nice. Get some CF/black cans, black out the rearsets and passenger pegs, remove/trim the air brake/shovel and reflectors and you'll have an even better looking bike. That color always looks better in person or in the sun.

(beaquel @ Jun. 09 2007,19:41) Maybe putting a new roof on the house and postponing my new car for another year wasn't so bad afterall.  I'm having quite a bit of fun with this bad boy instead.  I'm still keeping the RPM's under 6k like the book says for proper breakin, but it still accelerates like nothing I've ever experienced.  Needless to say, this will make my newly prolonged wait for a new car a lot more bearable.

This is the very night I brought her home, legally mandated warning stickers galore.

My friend from work and I took a ride to Grafton, IL on the Great River Road this morning.

We at a pretty cool outdoor pub right off the River Road.  The weather was as close to perfection as you'll get this side of San Diego.

Noticed my tank was already scratched up where I lean on it, so I had to put a stop to that.

Did a test fit of the new saddlebags I picked up, still not sure how to secure them from flapping around.

This is probably the coolest picture I've ever taken with my little Canon point and shoot.

Magnetic tank bag works great to carry misc. stuff while on your ride.

I just got my bike back from the shop.  They installed my centerstand, Heli-bars, rear delrin swingarm spools and delrin frame sliders today.  I also picked up my Givi V46 trunk with backrest pad.  I still need to track down the appropriate bracket and mounting plate for it.  My Zero Gravity double bubble is still on back-order.  I cant' believe how much of an improvement the Heli-Bars made.  I still think they are a ripoff for how much they cost compared to the actual physical material they provide you.  However, the difference in seating position was HUGE.  I felt like I was practically sitting straight up.  I almost thought it was too upright now.  Before these bars, I second guessed my Zero G windshield purchase since the stock screen was so good.  However, now that my torso is farther into the wind blast on the highway, I'm looking forward to seeing how the Zero G 1-1/2" taller screen works.  I came from a completely 90degree upright position on my 2005 V-Strom, so the day I brought my Hayabusa home I had a little "buyer's remorse" about the leaned over position with all the pressure on my wrists.  I do realize it's still not as radical as a full-blown race-replica, but compared to what I was already used to, this was a big change.  After almost 2 weeks, I started to get used to it as long as I was on the highway. Slow speeds and full stops sucked though because all the weight was back on my wrists and my back was bent over the farthest.  The centerstand might have been a little over-kill.  I was already having them throw in a great labor rate and good parts discount while I was buying the bike, so I figured what the heck.  Plus, I rolled it all into my loan so it was painless.  Having to do all this out of my own pocket after the fact wouldn't have been possible.  I figure chain lube will be a breeze with the centerstand though.  I could have always bought a nifty swingarm lift, but that couldn't come with me on a really long ride.  Trying to do chain lube on my V-Strom was comical moving the bike a few inches each time, trying to clean as I rolled.  Won't have to do that again.
