microsoft security essentials for sure. It is unbeatable and completely free. Avast Is ok but no were near the calibar of MSE

That's what I've been told. I run AVG, auto update and auto scan. It's free.

I got respect for the guys that clean these things up, my antivirus expired and was the same day i tore up my knee so didnt get around to renewing it that day, got one of the fake microsoft security deals and it locked me out of everything. Took it to a friend of mine, ended up doing a restore back to 2 days prior to the expiration so he could run malaware bytes then had to go through and restore a bunch of other stuff, not all sure what he was doing but 4hrs later we're good as new!!

tell em to get a Mac and never have another issue..... after years of Windows BS I will nvr own anything but a MAC. had it for a year now and not one virus, malware or spyware detected. not one.
