confused am i

i have ben looking around at bikes....and i have hit a wall....i am deciding b/n the Busa, and a TL1000R. i have allways been a fan of the styling of the TL until they stopped making them, but on the other hand i want the baddest bike on the planet. ahhhhh i am at a cross road. is there bad stuff about the TL that will sway me once and forever to the Bus side?

from what I have read, the TL isnt a fun bike for around town but is wicked fun in the turns .... I'd say the busa is more of a full time, full fun bike

Best thing to do is take your time and make up your mind. Don't know how difficult it would be to find a TL, but the '06 Busa won't be out for a few weeks so you've got time. Think about what you want the bike for and use that to guide your decision.

I rode a TL for awhile....cool bike. Great torque, great handling. Ergos suck, for me. Bars way too low for long range comfort.
If you are looking for a badazz ride that you can ride for miles and still be comfy.....BUSA!

Assuming they announce the 06' Busa in the next couple of weeks -and- assuming I decide to go for one. When can I expect to see them at the dealerships?

I am sure they wont announce it AND have it available soon after will they? I dont know how this works so please enlighten me.

Last year the Busa's hit the Stealerships in October. The LE's took quite a while longer ... Like April or May

TLs are nice machines..... You're asking a bunch of Busa fanatics, so of course the answer is gonna be B U S A!!! Thats a no brainer! I sat on a TL...some years ago. It takes effort to relax! Its has an aggressive stance! If thats what you want, then do it. If you want a more user friendly sportbike.....then the Busa is what you want. If you want top braggin' rights in handling in the twisties...GSXR1000 is your bike. Just my Opinion

TLs are heavy, but torqey machines. Nevertheless, the Busa is also heavy and torquey and it'll slaughter a TL any way shape or form. Maybe not in the twisties, but what's around every corner? A straightaway. Most likely the Busa would suffice for any style of riding comparable between these two machines.

Humm don't rush into it make sure you get what "YOU" really want. I always wanted a BUSA lots of my buddies got Kawisuuckies and Yammies>. LOL but I always wanted a BUsa and when I finally got mine I treat it like one of my Younglings. I don't care what nobody says "My" BUSA is the "BEST"

Also keep in mind that the TL is a twin cylinders engine... Not everybody like the caracteristics of a twin...

If you've never driven a twin motorcycle before you might want to get some info from experienced driver on the subject... Might even make a difference on your final decision.

The sound of a twin alone is enough to make me not buy one... I find they sound like tractors... Nothing like the sound of an in-line 4 in high revs

Been there, done that. And have at least 2 tl t-shirts. This comparison is like apples and oranges, the tl isn't anywhere near the busa's league, let alone close to the "baddest bikes" catagory. Fun....yep! Cranky(I called mine "the b##ch")....yep! Bad a** superbike...no. If you like v-twins, would be a great stablemate for a busa. My 01 always sounded like it was going to fly apart when cold, more engine noise then a '52 Ford 8n tractor.
