CONNECTOR GASKET

Just a quick one I am putting back my stock huge mufflers back on and I brought the expensive connector gasket $31 each that goes on in the mid pipe which connects to the cats below on the gasket there is a smooth end and a rough end which side goes in first or does it not matter? the workshop manual does not show this thanks

Does not matter . Mine were smooth both sides ,but brothers were rough . Think it's just how the material mates to the core weave

Thanks C10 local mechanic confirmed what you said I just wanted to make sure at that price just finished the job like always gremlins lol the left muffler took me like 5 minutes to put on the right like one hour and half i fire it up tomorrow hope there are no leaks I did use hi temp copper sealant
