For a motogp bike;
"100square cm is the total contact patch area for the front and rear tyres: equivalent to a pair of credit cards."

And that's a motogp specific race tire. You can bet its smaller for our street tires.

its gotta be less than that for the front....my front tire is only 2 credit cards wide
rear is prolly only 3-3.5....
 
but its the sticky spot. at least thats what i keep telling myself in the corners

Actually I remember reading that when we're in a lean, we only have a patch on both tires about the size of a 1/2 Dollar

Try ink printing your tires. I did that on the factory BT's when I had mine. 1.3x3 was the the approx size of the front (down the center). The back was slightly 2 times wider with the same length.
