been doing crossfit now for about a month and a half, decided to make up my own crossfit style workout. for those who don't know, it's a combination of weights and intense cardio. high effort, low rest interval, for a short amount of time. the workouts average between 12 and 30 minutes, but you feel like you've just done hours of exercise. anyway, here it is, i call it FML, or "F*** My Legs"

1 mile run

10 sets of:

20 deep squats, holding a 25# plate (mostly for balance, keep your weight on your heels, back straight, head up)

20 lunges (or iron mikes for you prior service folks) holding 30 lbs (dumbells or kettlebells)


oh, last thing, do it for time, so as fast as you can. i went just over 30 mins, and that was with plenty of rest. my mile was in less than 7 mins, so maybe 24 minutes for the rest of the stuff. try it... just make sure you don't have to climb stairs for the next few days.

I like that work out as well. I stopped cause was losing too much weight and wanna bulk. My wife is using a moddified jillian michaels work out and has lost 7 lbs in 6 days! She is so excited.
