Damn Battlax

Well Vegas, we can peacefully agree to disagree.

Anyway apparently there is now a 207 designed specifically for the Busa. Any one over there know more?????

No problem Hayabusa, your one of the good guysssssssssss.....

Seems like one of the French Busa owners posted that his Busa came with a 207 on it? I remember noting that his Busa also came restricted to 100hp due to French govt regs which made me wonder if that is why Suzuki sold those with the 207s mounted.

Hayabusa, i have to disagree with you...............The 207 d's dont grip as well and they start cupping way too early on the front tire. I know because i used the 207d exclusively on my 98 zx11 (17000 miles) and just having my busa for 2 months with 2800 miles on it the front tire is wearing beautifully. And yes i do my braking BEFORE entering the curve not while im in it............and these are bt56 J's not the normal bt56's The J's are different.

I agree with you Todd, that is probably the reason they did put 207's on them.....Havent heard anything about a 207 for the Hayabusa yet....but supposedly a D208 is in the making

A man from Suzuki Australia mentioned the 207 for the Busa is being made or has been made but had no more info.

I'm still trying to find out if it's true. I thought one of you guys might have some inside info from Dunlop.

Ducmanic, the tire you have is not like the french one...The letter "J" on the one side of the tire, designates that it is the Suzuki Spec OEM tire...Earlier posting indicated that the French Busa's are coming with just the regular "R" spec's, not the "J". Oops my mistake the French ones are coming out with the "J" spec also..

Well I took a dive into the archives and the Frenchman says he had a J as standard issue so disregard that theory. I'll dig around some more and see if I can't locate the post with the reference I think I saw but probably not until tomorrow.

Not being one to leave loose ends hanging I looked a little harder and found a post made by Frederic Rinaldi on July 28th under the topic BT56J tires where he wrote this:

"Strange, the french Busa comes with a stock BT56 R, not J tire. Does anyone have an answer for this?"

Now we're probably more confused than when we started! :) See you tomorrow.

Found it, Dankar made a post on 10th of August, 'Which Tyres are Better', saying there was a Dunlop207 FMJ made for the Busa.

Well Dankar? No secrets here!

BCP thanks for the clarification. Guess what, the stock tire my 'Busa came with was a BT56R not the 'J', and I ain't no french.

Waltman, right after the letters BT56R there is a little letter "J" stamped on the tire...It almost looks like an afterthought...you'll see it on one of the sides...
