Once again I would like to thank one and all for making me remember WHY I live in California.

I was in South Carolina in 91 when a big hurricane came through. I was stationed in Beaufort and they shut the base down and told everyone to leave and get out of dodge. my squadron told all personnel to take their family's to safe location (out of state) and call back in a few days.

Nothing like packing up animals and anything you hold near and dear and getting on the road with 1000's of other people trying to get out of dodge.

Sorry, but dont miss it one bit.....

I dont know which would be worse Ron,I've been through several hurricanes, but isnt Cali home of the earthquake? I'm serious Man,Couldnt a serious quake there make about all of the state just fall off in the ocean?
